Joe Carroll's Message to the World | THE FOLLOWING

OK We knew that Mica was not going to last, right?

This episode is another one of those funnel moments in the hour glass. All events in the past have lead to this coming together and immediately the future explodes with possibilities...

Emma and crew attacking public in book signing was epic.

Joe's taking over the cult is divinely inspired - from the stand point of serial killer cult types at least.

The realization of Joe's leak at the FBI is fantastic.

NOW WHAT? Big things to follow soon for Joe, Ryan and the world...

2.8 The Messenger - March 10, 2014

2.7 Sacrifice - March 3, 2014 Recap & Review WTF

2.7   Sacrifice - March 3, 2014

I am renaming this episode WTF!!! Perhaps the entire season could be called WTF!!! If you are Emma - or actress formerly known as - you are surely saying WTF!!!  Same with Max Hardy, Mike's dad and pretty much everyone else...

Anytime the guy that runs a cult of murderous followers is the most sane in the room, you know you have problems. Joe Carroll and company have run from one nut house to the nut farm. I am always deeply creeped out by cults. This new group obviously drinks WAY TOO MUCH cool-aid daily. "These people are crazy" - is a mouthful from Emma. but this season seems to have wanted her dead for weeks anyway. Is she dead now? Joe survived worse, right?

Lily manages to get to Ryan Hardy. Dramatically this is amazing. Guy takes Max. Massive manhunt tracks her down and gets the killer. But in a few hours they capture a serial killer that has eluded FBI for years. Get past that and you can stay on the edge of your seat as they hunt the hunter.

Episode ends with some crazier crap still... If Mike was not already off the deep end, he is in a PAcific trench now...

The New Ryan Hardy | THE FOLLOWING - Our Hero is Different this year

Last year he reluctantly came back to the FBI. This year he is rogue.

Meet Max Hardy | THE FOLLOWING - Jessica Stroup plays Ryan's niece

Jessica Stroup is a little prettier than most NYPD.  At least I think we would rather Jessica than Dennis Franz prance around naked. But she plays the character bad ass.

I have a bad feeling, though.... Every time she runs ahead or gets left behind, you know this character is not destined to last...

For Joe January 27, 2014 Season Two Episode 2 The Following on Fox

Ryan meets the twins. Uncle Daryl is what what he seems (Does he have another brother Daryl? Name that reference.... tweet me with answer @waltfrasier). The reverend's fate was obvious the second he arrived, right... Is this show going to have the weekly guest star / victim. Without Red Uniform to pint out who this will be, it is more of game for us...

The twins are just freaky. Giselle is scary French. Carlos is a moron. Emma is lonely.

Ryan Hardy seems like the sucker as he tries to save Lily. She seems suspicious to me... TOO EASY!!!

Trust Me February 3, 2014 Season Two Episode 3 The Following on Fox

So I think we all knew from episode one of this season that Joe could never live in the sticks forever. He clearly snubs his nose at the hillbilly way of life. Similarly Emma is way to anxious to sit idly by. Ryan is clearly out for blood on his own.

Mandy is initiated....
Old following destroyed...
Emma meets new Following...
Ryan discovers Lily's true colors...
I am surprised Carlos lasted this long...

Family Affair February 10, 2014 Season 2 Episode 4 The Following on Fox

This is the funnel of season two. All stories so far have a transition into future plots...

We learn Joe has more followers out there that were not in the Season One family OR Lily's as we meet Jana.

Lily has a crazy house full of sicko adoptive children.

Ryan finds and follows Lily's family out of the city....

SH!T about to hit the fan...
MAX WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
Ryan is about to lose a niece...

Deadly Duo | THE FOLLOWING Meet Luke & Mark - Sam Underwood

Executive Producer Kevin Williamson and actor Sam Underwood Discuss The Following's demented and deadly new duo Luke & Mark.

I have to give credit where credit is do...

To Sam Underwood - to play both twins so completely differently, I did not realize it was the same actor for two weeks. AMAZING!!!

To the director(s) - WOW, amazing cinematography to capture the character. I do not think I have ever seen an actor play two characters so seemlessly filmed.

To Sam's Body Double - WOW you must get a lot of work

To rest of the cast - WOW you must be very patient having to play ever scene / take twice.

Introducing Mandy | THE FOLLOWING Tiffany Boone

Tiffany Boone plays Mandy Lang. This girl has gone from local yokel to Joe Carroll Follower very quickly. Her initiation is quite dramatic.

Half way thru the season, Mandy and Emma are both on the lamb with Joe... WHAT NEXT?

Reflection February 17, 2014 Season 2 Episode 5 The Following on Fox

Are you crazy? Don't follow.

OK, for yet another episode, I have a count down running. how long before Ryan Hardy's niece bites the bullet? Seriously, she is way too gung ho. I think they are going to dangle that like a carrot on a stick for weeks. But every few minutes I am thinking - OOPS THERE IT IS.... NOPE she survived... Max is really pushing her luck...

But, Lily's world is falling one by one... and so far Ryan Harding continues to rack up points... At the rate he is going we might have to spin this off  with a MARVEL cross over "RYAN HARDING: THE NEW PUNISHER"

Fly Away - Season Two Episode 7 of The Following on Fox

This is by far the highest level of action yet form this series. One argument after physical altercation followed by an entire swat team grounding a helicopter...

I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I kept saying, this is not going to end well, as you think anyone could be something or someone other than they seem. Great episode. Certainly one of my favorites. I think the only real winner this week is Emma LOL

The Following Season 1 Pilot Trailer

The Following - Season 1
The FBI estimates there are currently over 300 active serial killers in the United States. What would happen if these killers had a way of communicating and connecting with each other? What if they were able to work together and form alliances across the country? What if one brilliant psychotic serial killer was able to bring them all together and activate a following? Welcome to The Following, the terrifying new thriller from creator/executive producer Kevin Williamson ("The Vampire Diaries," "Dawson's Creek," the "Scream" franchise). When notorious serial killer Joe Carroll (James Purefoy, "Rome") escapes from death row and embarks on a new killing spree, the FBI calls former agent Ryan Hardy (Emmy-nominated actor Kevin Bacon, "X-Men: First Class") to consult on the case. Having since withdrawn from the public eye, Hardy was responsible for Carroll's capture nine years ago, after Carroll murdered 14 female students on the Virginia college campus where he taught literature. Hardy is a walking textbook of all-things Carroll. He knows him better than anyone; he is perhaps Carroll's only psychological and intellectual match. But the Ryan Hardy who broke the Carroll case years ago isn't the same man today. Wounded both physically and mentally by his previous pursuit of this serial killer, it's been a long time since Hardy has been in the field. This investigation is his redemption, his call to action. In contrast to nine years ago, Hardy isn't calling the shots on this case. He works closely with an FBI team, which includes all-business and tough-as-nails Jennifer Mason (Jeananne Goossen, "The Vow," ALCATRAZ) and young, razor-sharp MIKE WESTON (Shawn Ashmore, "X-Men").

The team considers Hardy to be more of a liability than an asset. But Hardy proves his worth when he uncovers that Carroll was covertly communicating with a network of killers in the outside world. It quickly becomes obvious that he has more planned than just a prison escape, and there's no telling how many additional killers are out there. The FBI's investigation leads Hardy to Claire Matthews (Natalie Zea, "Justified"), Carroll's ex-wife and mother of the criminal's 10-year-old son, Joey (newcomer Kyle Catlett). Close during Hardy's initial investigation, Hardy turns to Claire for insight into Carroll's next move. The tension rises when Carroll's accomplices kidnap his intended last victim from nine years ago. Hardy becomes ever more determined to end Carroll's game when he realizes that this psychopath intends to finish what he started. The thriller will follow Hardy and the FBI as they are challenged with the ever-growing web of murder around them, masterminded by the devious Carroll, who dreams of writing a novel with Hardy as his protagonist. The reinvigorated Hardy will get a second chance to capture Carroll, as he's faced with not one but a cult of serial killers.

Resurrection - January 19, 2014 Season 2 Episode 1 - The Following on Fox

Where is Joe indeed?

Episode begins with a mass murder on NYC Subway. Being a NYC area denizen, this hit very close to home. There have been numerous Terror threats on the subway over the years. And many times I have questioned a few characters' intentions in real life. So this was intense....

Ryan is rogue. Mike is trying to be the boyscout. FBI is pig headed. And psycho killers are on the loose. Business as usual. This season is going to be intense.
